Security Syndication using Dynamic Security
Made4Biz Dynamic Security announces
development of the security syndication capability, to be offered as an option for Made4Biz Dynamic Security
customers. By correlating physical and ICT security information, Dynamic Security is able to offer a wide array
of unique solutions that help organizations achieve better security management.
The Security Syndication
functionality is designed to help syndicate security information using an approach that sheds new light on the
big regional picture.
Before they attack, terrorists
learn the target’s security routine by performing a series of reconnaissance observations. Many of those
observations are disguised as a simple parked car with a driver inside or pretending to fix a problem (hood
open, wheel change…).
Terrorists will usually perform
reconnaissance on more than one target site in order to choose the softest one for their attack.
Security professionals recognize
such reconnaissance activities as potential threats that are hard to deal with, because the burden of proving
malicious intention is heavy.
Dynamic Security, through its new
syndication functionality, is the first product to support a practical method of detecting pre-attack
reconnaissance activities before they mature into a full fledged attack.
Dynamic Security leverages on its
built-in Security Incident Reporting Mechanism to share isolated observation events with other Dynamic Security
customers in the same region. This allows Dynamic Security to correlate observations throughout the region and
signals the occurrence of observation activity.
Thus, if an observation event was
detected at one organization and syndicated to all the Dynamic Security customers in the region, the next
observation detected at any syndicated organization will be regarded as a second event and will be immediately
acted upon accordingly.
The value of security information
syndication and its ability to show the big picture is already being used by some terror - sensitive
organizations and has been proven successful in preventing terror attacks.
The new functionality is due to be
commercially released in the third quarter of 2006.
